Rup Koirala has been working as a counsellor, social worker, disability support worker, teacher, trainer, interpreter and a project coordinator both in Australia and overseas. He worked as a social worker and an advocate in Nepal for decades prior to working as a support worker in Launceston Tasmania. He holds numerous community and disability services qualifications, including diploma of applied health and community support, certificate IV in English literacy, Disability, and governance; and certificate III in aged and disability services.

Rup works as a support worker at the Multicap Tasmania and is also a board member of the organisation’s work health and safety committee. Anglicare Tasmania, Community Care Tasmania Inc, and Red Cross are just a few organisations that Rup has worked at as social worker and support worker. In addition to his social work and the support work, Rup is an accredited and qualified interpreter for various organisations, including department of Health, department of Education, and department of justice. He has an excellent written and verbal English communication skills complimented by a warm smile and a great sense of humour.

Rup has a numerous skills and experiences he has gathered through his career and life. He is an active listener, kind, compassionate and is willing to listen and assist vulnerable people. He is dedicated, punctual, hardworking and very enthusiastic, who prides himself in his ability to support people in needs. Rup believes that supporting people in their most vulnerable state(s) is a form a humanity.
Further, Rup is competent in medication administration and holds a valid certificate. He is driven with a motto to provide effective care to people in need and always works towards building rapport with clients through therapeutic communication and trust.

Rup has a strong leadership skill, is a great team player and is always available to support his colleagues and clients in need. He is a very experienced and an excellent service provider working in the community.
